Achieving life-like depth required a rich palette of over 30 hues—from champagne ivory and deep onyx to rose-gold tints and desert ochre. Each 1×1 cm tile was individually selected and placed by hand, ensuring light would dance across the surface with every passing hour. We tested materials under natural and accent lighting to enhance subtle facial expressions and reflective nuances.
